CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR 2019

The Cambridge results for 2019 were released in January this year.

(a) FORM TWO CHECKPOINT

More than 85% of our students have a sound understanding of the curriculum content in Mathematics, Science and English according to the report we received. The following students achieved scores that showed that they have an excellent understanding of the curriculum content:

  • Kelly Kaserera
  • Timukudze Chizema and
  • Kishan Nagar

 

Sports News Update

We have started on a hectic note sports wise. We are proud of the achievements and progress registered by some of our teams.

CRICKET

We are very proud of our cricket first team which is unbeaten so far. Results for matches played so far are as follows:

Cricket Vs Wise Owl

1st team:

Wise Owl batted first and had 102 runs for the fall of 10 wickets in 22.2 overs.

Goldridge College managed to reach 103 runs for the fall of 6 wickets in 23.1 overs.

Every year Cambridge Assessment International Examinations holds a prize giving ceremony to honour the best students in Zimbabwe in various categories. CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR 2018

‘A’ level and IGCSE (‘O’) Level) results were released on Thursday, 10 and Thursday, 17 January respectively. We are pleased with the results attained by most of our pupils.
Our IGCSE (‘O’ Level) pass rate for 2018 for candidates who scored at least five subjects with C or better was 85.5%. Our best student was Vimbainashe Chimhande who scored 12 As with five of these being A*s Excellent achievement !!!!!.

Head's Speech at the Annual Prize Giving & Speech Night

I am delighted to stand before you, and present you the annual report for the 18th Prize Giving and Speech Night. I wish to thank the Almighty God, as we celebrate, the many gifts He has bestowed upon us, many of which, we shall acknowledge and reward tonight. We also thank the Lord for having been our shepherd throughout the year which always reminds us of Psalm 23 verse one which reads “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

 

Job Shadowing - JAZ

On the 18th of September 2018, the Goldridge College Junior Achievement members and a select few commercial students attended a Job Shadowing program at sable Chemicals. There were also two other schools who attended the Job Shadowing Program namely Camelot and Munyati High School. This allowed the students to interact as the 110 students present were split into two groups. Before being taken on a tour around the Sable Chemicals Plant, the students went through a briefing regarding the processes taken in the manufacture of Ammonium Nitrate.

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS

We are proud of the following students who did very well at the Inter-Provincial Trials for various sporting disciplines.
Rugby
Reece Kloppers was selected as a reserve player for the National Under 14 Rugby team while Clinton Madende made it into the Zimbabwe Under 17 National Team.
Girls’ Basketball
Rudo Marufu and Gillian Muza were selected into the Under 20 ATS Schools National Team.
